Rutherglen & Cambuslang Citizens Advice Bureau

Organisation statement:

Rutherglen and Cambuslang Citizens Advice Bureau has provided an independent advice service to our local communities since 1967.
As well as our main bureau, we also work in partnership with local Community Groups, Housing Associations and a Primary Care Centre, to meet the needs of our clients in the heart of their community. This is achieved via our Community Advice Hubs in local neighbourhoods.
Our main aim is to ensure that individuals do not suffer through ignorance of their rights and responsibilities or the service available; or through an inability to express their needs
To this end we provide advice, information and support on a wide range of often complex issues relating to Welfare Benefits, Health and Disability, Debt and Money.
With our 10 paid staff and 20 fully trained Volunteers, we have a proven track record of delivering a high quality service which we have replicated and extended in recent years into local neighbourhoods. This has allowed us to better meet the needs of residents in the most deprived areas, who otherwise may have been socially isolated and financially excluded.
